They say that accountability is the key to success. But, let’s face it: nobody likes being held accountable themselves!
I’ve been in this business long enough and I can tell you one thing with certainty – people will do anything for an easy out when they’re feeling frustrated or overwhelmed by their own challenges.
And while some of these “aways” may be harmless (like locking yourself away from your client), other times we need help getting back on track quickly so no harm has been done…especially if there are deadlines looming overhead
It never ceases to amaze me that the vast majority of Personal Trainers and coaches, who sell their services based on accountability don’t themselves hire anyone for this very same reason.
Well, it’s not up to me convince you but if a client feels that they are better served by working with someone who can hold them accountable for getting in their workouts and eating right then just think how much your business would benefit from the same service?
It is essential to stay on top of your goals, and it can be difficult when you have so many other things going on in life. That’s why I send my clients a Monday message every week via WhatsApp reminding them about their upcoming tasks for the coming week!
Here was today’s message
Good morning!
Last week before Christmas, it’s time to take a look at what worked and not so much in 2020.
The reality of running any kind fitness business is that there are always more things you can do – but the key here isn’t trying all those different ideas simultaneously; instead focus on one thing extremely well (or multiple topics) over several weeks/months until your skills have improved enough for real success.
Use this opportunity to really get into the weeds on what is working for you and your company.
What areas are strong? Where could use some work, or an update in order for it be more profitable throughout all aspects of our operations ( morale-wise)?
As a business owner myself I know how hard these questions can seem but they will help guide future decisions if we take them one step at time!
What have been your biggest 3 lessons of 2021 and how are you going to use those lessons to improve your business in 2022?

The thing is, as a coach it’s easy to get caught up in your day-to-day work. You might be the most amazing trainer or fitness entrepreneur but if you don’t take some time off from training clients then there will always remain something stopping us from growing our businesses further because we’re not giving ourselves enough space!
You see what I mean?
It sounds like such an obvious thing now after saying all this…
But trust me when i say that sending these types of messages every week without fail has really helped my own success rate as someone who wants nothing more than help others succeed too – so please send them out to your clients nonetheless!!
The stuff which is important but not urgent,
The stuff that is actually going to free you from those long hours,
The stuff that is going to leverage your time so you can make more money and help more people,
You don’t have to suffer through your own burnout. I’ve been where you are right now, and it’s not a sustainable place to be. Time will catch up with us all eventually – that much is true!
The question isn’t whether or how fast we’ll get there; the real challenge comes when knowing what our next step should look like after getting out of this situation.
If you are happy where you then keep doing what you’re doing.
If you’re not, if you feel trapped in your business then do something different.
It actually only takes a slight shift in the way you think to drive different actions which in turn will get you a different result.
What’s it going to be for you in 2022?
Stay the same or have someone hold you accountable so you can create the changes necessary for your business to flourish in 2022?
And remember, I’m here to help you grow your business, but only if you ask 😉
